Meet your state curriculum specialist

Alisa Stevenson

Oregon state curriculum specialist

Social studies is my passion!  I taught social studies courses in public middle and high schools for nine years, and have enjoyed my work in social studies education with Social Studies School Service. I graduated from the University of Utah with my Bachelor of Science, attended the University of Kansas’ Graduate Social Work program, and received my Masters of Education at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri.

In addition to my love of working with teachers and students, I love spending time with my family and being a mother to our little son. I am constantly outdoors hiking, running, and swimming in the ocean.  I love going to concerts, and I believe that I make the best chocolate chip cookies on the planet.
